Pro Re Nata opened in 2015 in Crozet, Virginia — close enough to the Blue Ridge that you can feel it. We brew our beer on site, work with a local cidery for the Virginia hard cider, and keep wine and canned cocktails on hand.

 

The name's Latin for "as needed" — the kind of phrase you'd find on a prescription bottle. We liked the idea of building a place around exactly that: come when you need it, stay as long as it suits you.

 

Between the Main Tap Room, the Original Brewery, Farmacy, and the outdoor seating that wraps around the property, there's a spot for whatever mood you're in — a quiet corner with a dog at your feet, or front row for the band. Live music most nights. Private events for the bigger occasions.
